DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1, Arrive Nairobi, transfer to Tamarind Tree Hotel
Your Kenyan safari begins in Nairobi, where you'll be greeted and transferred to the Tamarind Tree Hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. The following day, you'll take a private transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to the Mara Triangle.
DAY 2 - 4, Maasai Mara, Kilima Camp
Kilima Camp, perched high on the Oloololo escarpment overlooking the exclusive Mara Triangle, offers 15 cabins - classic and slightly more luxury deluxe canvas cabins on wooden floors both with en-suite bathrooms and private viewing decks - the perfect blend of adventure and comfort. Relax by the fire and take in the stunning views of the Masai Mara as you share your day's adventures and exchange stories. In the evenings, enjoy your sundowners accompanied by homemade bar bites, creating a perfect atmosphere for forming lasting connections with fellow guests. As an eco camp, Kilima does not have a swimming pool but enjoy game drives, guided bush walks, hot air balloon safaris [optional extra], horse riding safaris [optional extra] and cultural visits to Maasai villages. Treat yourself to a rejuvenating and revitalizing experience at their spa.
The Mara Triangle is a secluded and less crowded area of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It's renowned for its high concentration of wildlife, especially during the Great Migration when millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River. Other notable wildlife includes lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and a variety of antelopes.
DAY 5 - 7, Amboseli National Park, Elerai Camp
After three nights in the Mara, you'll fly to Amboseli and check into Elerai Camp.
The spacious and comfortable deluxe tents feature en-suite bathrooms, private verandas, and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. For those seeking a more permanent structure, the cottage rooms offer the same level of luxury with a slightly larger footprint. Guests can enjoy delicious meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients in the camp's dining area, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Relax and unwind by the swimming pool, taking in the breathtaking scenery, or enjoy a refreshing drink at the bar while socializing with fellow guests. The camp offers guided game drives into Amboseli National Park, where you can encounter elephants, lions, leopards, and other wildlife. For a more intimate experience, guided walking safaris allow you to experience the African bush up close.
Guests consistently praise Elerai Camp for its stunning location, luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and delicious food. Many highlight the opportunity to see wildlife in a more intimate setting, thanks to the camp's private conservation area. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are also frequently mentioned as a highlight of the experience.
Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants, which are often seen against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park also supports a variety of other wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and numerous bird species.
DAY 8- 10, Samburu National Park, Saruni Intrepids Camp
