DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Windhoek to Kuidas Camp

Depart from Windhoek on a scenic light aircraft flight, enjoying aerial views of Sossusvlei’s immense dunes before veering westward to the famous Eduard Bohlen shipwreck. The journey continues north along the Skeleton Coast, passing the Shawnee shipwreck and large seal colonies. A brief stop in Swakopmund allows for refueling and lunch before continuing onward to Kuidas Camp, where you can relax and acclimatize for the adventure ahead.


Day 2: Ugab Formations & Ancient Settlements

After an early breakfast, set out by Land Rover to explore the striking Ugab rock formations. Along the way, visit Gai-Ais Spring, a prime wildlife viewing spot, and an ancient human settlement. A stop at a petrified forest provides a glimpse into the region’s prehistoric past. Return to camp by early evening to unwind after a day of exploration.


Day 3: Rock Art & Roaring Dunes

The morning begins with a guided hike to view ancient petroglyphs and rock paintings, offering insight into the region’s early inhabitants. Explore the fascinating geological formations before heading north to experience the roaring dunes, a rare natural phenomenon. The day concludes with an overnight stay at Leylandsdrift Camp.


Day 4: Rhino Tracking & Desert Wildlife

Embark on a rhino-tracking expedition in the heart of the desert, keeping an eye out for other wildlife such as springbok, gemsbok, and possibly big cats. Enjoy a picnic lunch beneath a shady tree before returning to camp for a well-deserved evening of relaxation.


Day 5: Kunene River Expedition

The day begins with a scenic flight over Kaokoland and Damaraland wildernesses, offering breathtaking views of Namibia’s rugged landscapes. Upon landing near the Kunene River, a scenic drive along the riverbank leads to your final camp, where you will spend the night surrounded by the untouched beauty of the region.


Day 6: Himba Cultural Visit & Kunene River Cruise

Rise early to visit a Himba settlement and observe their traditional way of life. Return to camp for a leisurely breakfast before setting out on an exhilarating boat trip along the Kunene River, a perfect ending to your journey. After lunch, board the return flight to Windhoek, taking in one last aerial view of Namibia’s breathtaking wilderness.
