Northern Kruger

What do I do when I have some time off... I do what I love most, Go on Safari!
It's been quite some time since I had ventured into the Northern reaches of Kruger National Park so I planned a 3 day camping trip up that way with some friends.
There were 2 highlights of the trip - the first was when we were woken up at 2 am by two male lions roaring on the dam wall 100 yards from where we were camping and the Second when we were lucky enough to cross paths with a young female leopard on the prowl.
The sighting of the leopard was bittersweet as she melted into the bush only allowing us a few minutes of her time. This served as a reminder as to the value that Private Game Reserves offer with safari vehicles being allowed off-road to track and follow in a similar scenario, not to mention the limited number of vehicles at each sighting.
